When we begin to accept a nation as they are -- their culture, the life, their foods, their clothing, their language -- we can begin to delve deeper into what it truly means to live on this earth. To truly live, we must have relationships and love. However, it does not take something extravagant. We can love and experience just by stepping into the cooking hat of a Native American woman and cooking what she would have cooked, seen and felt what she felt. To truly love means to walk a mile in their shoes, and then choose to keep going. |

Although different in cultures, "Carpentaria", "Mr. Pip", and "Varua Tupu" all contain a common theme of understanding those around you who are different and helping those in need.
